At 8°C, 2nd coldest day for city on Thursday

Be ready to celebrate the advent of the New Year with the quilt tightly wrapped around you. Temperatures might go further south over the next four days, according to the forecast of the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Ahmedabad recorded 8°C, making Thursday the second coldest day in a decade. In the winter of 2014, mercury had plunged to 7.4°C; and in 2015, the lowest temperature was 8°C, tying with the lowest temperature of the current year.
