Drunk drivers on New Year will be sent to jail

Hyderabad police will conduct a drive from 10am on December 31 to 5am on January 1. Offenders will be sent straight to jail. Traffic will not be allowed on some of the major flyovers and special teams will be deployed to look out for drunk drivers. Recent Hyderabad traffic police data revealed that till Dec 15 2018, about 5,307 offenders were jailed compared to 3,965 last year.
