Heading out to party tonight, Noida? Brace yourself for traffic snarls!

On New Year’s Eve today, the city would have needed the maximum traffic police presence. But according to a senior traffic police officer, the Noida Traffic Police is reeling under severe staff crunch – out of 168 officials, only 49 are on duty to man traffic in the city tonight. The Superintendent of Police (Traffic) is also on leave till January 20. With the city at the mercy of just one Traffic Inspector out of a total of six, Noidawallahs can expect traffic chaos to be worse than the usual year-end mayhem.
