BJP MLA’s kick deals body blow to women-safety claim

The ruling BJP was left red-faced after its Naroda MLA Balram Thawani was caught on camera slapping and kicking a woman in full public view on Sunday. Thawani patched up with the woman on Monday by calling her his ‘younger sister’ and offering her sweets after she tied a rakhi on his wrist.
