Villagers get road alignment altered to save 300-yr-old tree

Through their dogged efforts, environmentalists, birders and villagers have managed to get the Bangalore Development Authority to change the course of a road to protect a 300-yearold Kaadu Booruga (silk cotton) tree at Kannalli village, off Magadi Road.
