Chennai’s largest slum on Cooum banks demolished

The ecological restoration of Cooum River got a fillip on Sunday as the Greater Chennai Corporation, along with Chennai River Restoration Trust (CRRT) and Public Works Department (PWD), began rehabilitation of slum dwellers from the riverbank at Sathyavani Muthu Nagar, opposite Island grounds.
