Delhi: Winter nears end, temperature set to rise

The mercury at Safdarjung weather station crossed 25 degrees Celsius on Thursday for the first time since November 28 last year. It touched a high of 27.8 degrees, nearly five notches above normal. The previous day, the station had recorded its first significantly higher-than-normal maximum temperature in two weeks.
