FIR to be filed for home quarantine violation

With home quarantine becoming the mainstay for isolating travellers from all states - barring Maharashtra - chief minister BS Yediyurappa on Tuesday ordered the home department to register FIRs against those violating the 14-day norm. The number of Covid-19 patients in the state has registered a steep rise since inter-state travel was opened up, undermining the government's efforts to control the spread of the disease.
