Rain aftermath: Stench, muck in Old City colonies

“I thought we were going to die. Even after the rains receded, my entire house is filled with sewage. My hands hurt from all the cleaning and we are tired but we have no choice,” says Mohammed Nadeem Khan, a 10-year-old, who said he was helping his parents clean their house from one of the city’s heavily affected Rasoolpura area after rains receded on Sunday morning.
