Tamil Nadu man kept in freezer box for 20 hrs dies

A 73-year-old man, who was getting treated at the Salem government medical college hospital after being rescued from a freezer box where he was kept for nearly 20 hours presumed dead by his own brother, died on Friday without responding to treatment. Joint director of health services Dr Malarvizhi Vallal, meanwhile, has initiated a probe against a private hospital in Salem for issuing a death certificate four days before his death.
