Hyderabad may see muted Diwali this year

Only green crackers can be sold in the city and use may be restricted to two hours on Diwali day and other occasions following a directive from the National Green Tribunal (NGT) on Monday. Telangana environment minister A Indrakaran Reddy has said the state government would take a call once it receives the NGT order on green crackers, restricted timings and ban on fireworks during Diwali.
