Industrial areas can host IT, service units: CM

In a move that will promote the growth of IT and ITES industries in the city, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday announced that based on a proposal sent by Delhi government a few years ago, the Centre has issued a notification allowing units in existing industrial areas to shift to service and high-tech industries. Kejriwal said he hoped that most of the industries would make that shift, making Delhi’s existing industrial areas clean and green too. The services sector is already a major driver of the capital’s economy.
