Delhi ACP’s murder: HC suspends convict’s term

The Punjab and Haryana high court on Thursday suspended the life sentence of property dealer Vijay Bhardwaj, who was convicted in the murder case of Rajbir Singh, then ACP in Delhi police, also known as ‘encounter specialist.’ On October 29, 2015, the special CBI court in Panchkula had sentenced him to undergo life imprisonment with a fine of Rs 10,000 in the case. Bhardwaj has been behind bars since his arrest in 2008.
