Wanted to meet farmers: Arvind Kejriwal

Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Tuesday that he wanted to spend half an hour with the agitating farmers as a show of support during the Bharat bandh, but he was not allowed to do so. Kejriwal was speaking to Aam Aadmi Party functionaries who arrived in numbers at his residence in reaction to the news of the CM being put under “house arrest”. AAP had earlier claimed that Delhi Police had put Kejriwal under house arrest to prevent his visit to the protest site, though the police force refuted the allegation.
