BMC schools will soon be Mumbai Public Schools

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided to rebrand its schools to be called Mumbai Public Schools (MPS). The BMC has also made a budgetary provision of Rs 2 crore for 10 new CBSE schools in the city. The civic body's education budget announced on Wednesday is marginally up to Rs 2,945.78 crore from last year's Rs 2,944.59 crore.
