Rebuffed on funds, Delhi dy CM slams Central govt

Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia claimed Delhi government had once again been treated in a step-motherly fashion by the central government after Monday’s Union Budget left the city’s expectations unmet. Its revenue collection having declined 42% due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the state government had requested the Centre for an enhanced allocation of at least Rs 8,555 crore in the 2021-22 Budget.
