Good heavens! Delhi sees cleanest air day

Delhiites woke up to clear blue skies on Thursday — reminiscent of what was seen during the novel coronavirus-induced lockdown last year. The visual treat was accompanied by Delhi’s cleanest air in 2021 as the air quality at most monitoring stations turned “good” for the first time this year. A day after the national capital received “very heavy” rainfall, the air quality index (AQI) dropped below 50 at several places during the first half of the day.
