Stock up on kids’ drugs: Doctors to Noida hospitals
The doctors have asked hospitals to keep adequate stock of intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) and steroids such as methylpred. “We are asking hospitals to stock up on these medicines so that there is no last-minute rush. We have seen that as cases start to increase, important medicines used in the treatment of Covid become unavailable and are sold in the black market. This often happens because we are not ready for the sudden surge. There was a shortage of remdesivir during the first and second wave. If it happens again, it would be unacceptable,” said a senior health department official.
