Covid-19: How delta variant gave Delhi its worst phase

The fourth wave of the Covid-19 pandemic in Delhi was caused by the predominance of the Delta variant (B.1.617.2), a sub-lineage of the Kappa variant (B.1.617.1) that was first detected in Maharashtra in October last year.
