Delhi faces ‘dry run’ as new excise regime takes shape

An alcohol shortage stares the capital in the face with 260 private liquor shops shutting down for good from Thursday. Only the 600-odd government liquor shops will operate till November 16 when the licensed shops under the new excise policy open for business.
