Mumbai: 30 turtles died at Byculla zoo in 1 year

A total of 30 freshwater turtles at Veer Jijabai Bhosale Udyan died from April 2019 to March 2020. This has been revealed in an annual inventory carried out by Central Zoo Authority. Other animals that died during this period include seven barking deer, six sambhar deer and one swamp deer.
