Weekend Byculla zoo visitors touch 10,000 plus

Visitors to Veermata Jijabai Bhosale Udyan and Zoo in Byculla reached pre-Covid levels, with the authorities having to shut the gate on some weekends for an hour to new visitors. Data shows that for November 1-22, there were 1.25 lakh visitors, which is around 5,600 daily. Authorities said on weekends visitors touch 10,000-plus. Humboldt penguins, tiger and hyenas enclosures have most visitors. One can visit the zoo between 9.30am-6pm but issuing of tickets is being stopped by 4pm instead if 5.15pm.
