Explain Rs 106cr cost escalation in bids, BMC asks Mum zoo

The BMC has sought an explanation from Byculla zoo officials and civic building maintenance department after bids for construction of the new set of animal enclosures shot Rs 106 crore above BMC estimates and only two companies submitted bids.
