Wankhede case: Nat'l SC panel summons Mumbai CP, DGP

The National Commission for Scheduled Castes has summoned Mumbai police commissioner Hemant Nagrale and state director general of police Sanjay Pandey on January 31 following a complaint lodged by the Narcotics Control Bureau's former zonal director Sameer Wankhede against NCP leader Nawab Malik. Wankhede had alleged that he was being harassed by Malik, following which the commission had sought a report from the Mumbai police commissioner as well as DGP Pandey.
