MSBCC’s report backs 27% quota in local polls

The Maharashtra State Backward Class Commission (MSBCC)'s interim report which supports the state's 27% quota for OBCs in local body polls, has concluded that the actual population of backward classes in the state is even higher. Analysing two data sets provided by the government, the Justice A V Nirgude (retd) panel has concluded that the OBC population in the state may be more than 38%.
