
The capital has the largest per capita forest cover of 9.6 square metres among all the mega cities of the country. Environment minister Gopal Rai said on Friday, adding that an audit report of Forest Survey of India (FSI) revealed that of the 62 lakh saplings planted between 2016 and 2019, 75-80% had survived.
