Season’s first: Several areas in city see severe heatwave
Several areas in the capital reeled under the year’s first “severe heatwave” on Tuesday, the hottest day of the season so far. While the maximum temperature was recorded at 39.2 degrees Celsius, seven notches above average, at the base station in Safdarjung, the minimum stood at 18.8 degrees Celsius, a notch above average, against 22.2 degrees Celsius a day earlier.
