Delhi's hottest day in 1st half of April since 1950

The maximum temperature at Safdarjung (42.4 degreesCelsius ) on Saturday was eight notches above the day's normal, against 41.6 degrees recorded a day earlier. This was the highest maximum temperature recorded in the first half of April in records going back to 1950, met officials said.
