Delhi at its worst: Why it felt like 55°C on Tuesday

Tuesday was likely the most oppressive day of the year in the capital so far. While the maximum temperature at Safdarjung was recorded at 41.5 degrees C, a shade higher than the previous day's maximum of 40.9 degrees, the real feel temperature was hazardously high at around 55°C.
