Higher Covid death rates in low-income nations

A research, led by Dr D Prabhakaran from the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), shows 47% of the patients hospitalised due to Covid-19 during the first and second waves had hypertension and 32% had diabetes mellitus – two of the most common cardiovascular risk factors.
