Delhi may go back to old excise regime for 6 months

In a major policy reversal, Delhi government is likely to return to the old excise regime when both government and private agencies operated the liquor stores in the capital and no discounts were offered on alcohol. Days after the contentious Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22 came under scrutiny, sources said the state government is working on a proposal to set it aside and implement the old policy for six months.
