How Haryana’s move may shrink NCR area

The area of National Capital Region (NCR) could shrink by nearly 24%, if the NCR Planning Board on Tuesday gives the go-ahead to Haryana’s proposal to exclude five districts of Karnal, Mahendragarh, Charkhi-Dadri, Jind and Bhiwani completely and take out three tehsils of Panipat and Rohtak districts from the administrative boundary of the region.
