Shop owner acquitted of 2007 Laxmi Chhaya crash

A sessions court has acquitted a 55-year-old businessman, Kailash Jain, the owner of two shops in Borivli's Laxmi Chhaya building, of the charge of culpable homicide not amounting to murder. The building collapsed 16 years ago, leading to the deaths of 30 residents.
