DDA seals Roshanara Club, birthplace of BCCI

Roshanara Club, considered the birthplace of the BCCI, was sealed by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) on Friday. The DDA claimed the action was taken as per norms, while club officials alleged the sealing was carried out despite a stay from the Delhi High Court. The club, which has entertained dignitaries and cricketers over the decades, had signed leases with the DDA to run the facility. The club's legal team maintains that the stay from the high court is still in force. DDA officials argue that the leases had expired several years ago.
