Daily Covid detections cross 100-mark in Maharashtra
Maharashtra recorded 117 new Covid-19 cases, surpassing the 100-mark for the first time in nearly seven months. A death from Nashik was reported, marking the second consecutive day of coronavirus-related fatalities in the state. Public health minister urged caution and vigilance in the next 10-15 days, especially during New Year festivities. The newly formed state Covid taskforce conducted a comprehensive review and stated that the health system is prepared. Stressing the significance of the next two weeks, people visiting tourist and religious places should adhere to COVID-compliant rules to prevent the virus spread.
