Mumbai businessman accuses traffic cops of towing electric car from charging station

The founder of an educational company complained on X that his electric car was towed away by the traffic police while it was being charged at a station in South Mumbai. He was issued a challan for unauthorized parking and had to pay the fine to get his car released. He uploaded videos and tagged the Mumbai Police, demanding an enquiry and refund. Another MP had accused the Mumbai Traffic Police of 'vasooli' for intercepting his car in Chembur to clear pending fines. The traffic police have collected Rs 579.9 crore in e-challan fines, but Rs 685 crore is still pending.
