Mumbai surpasses average July rainfall quota by nearly 50%

Mumbai's July rainfall reached 1,408mm, 48% above the 855mm norm due to prolonged spells. The record was 1,771mm in 2023. IMD issued alerts for Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, and Raigad. In 24 hours, areas saw over 200mm rain.
