National Commission for Minorities seeks report from Maharashtra government on Vishalgad violence

The National Commission for Minorities (NCM) requested a report from Maharashtra's chief secretary regarding the Vishalgad violence, following a complaint by Samajwadi Party MLA Rais Shaikh. Shaikh accused extreme right-wing groups of targeting the Muslim community during an anti-encroachment drive at Vishalgad. He alleged that local law enforcement remained passive and demanded stringent action against the perpetrators.
