Mumbai railway push: 350 slum demolished, clearing half land for Airoli–Kalwa corridor

Demolition of 350 slum structures in Bhola Nagar has cleared nearly half the land for the delayed Airoli-Kalwa elevated rail corridor. This progress, following the relocation of affected families, brings the ₹476-crore project closer to execution after years of rehabilitation hurdles. However, 436 households in Shivaji Nagar still oppose relocation, delaying the project further.
