
A day after the Supreme Court expressed displeasure over the pendency of recommendation by the state government for release of Rajiv convicts for over two years, governor Banwarilal Purohit on Wednesday morning left for New Delhi. He called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the evening and is likely to meet President Ram Nath Kovind and Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu during his three-day stay in the national capital. There is a talk that Purohit also met Union home minister Amit Shah which could not be confirmed.
