Mum: Cabs vandalised for turning down critical man
At least three cabbies refused to ferry a critically injured man to hospital after he had been extricated from under a train at Masjid on Wednesday night. The victim, Ravi Rawat, was moved to hospital just in time after a fourth cabbie agreed to ferry him and a policeman. Doctors told the police that Rawat could have succumbed to his injuries had there been a delay of half an hour. Rawat’s leg had to be amputated. Meanwhile, on getting to know about the three cabbies turning down Rawat, a group of people—a few of them acquainted with the victim— vandalised the taxis.
